Text Messaging Terms

Last updated 2026-10-21.

These terms cover the text messages that pet care businesses send their clients through BarkLedger. BarkLedger is pet care management software operated by EquipNexus LLC.

What you get

If you opt in, the pet care business you signed up with texts you about your bookings, from its own toll-free number, through BarkLedger. Each text starts with the business's name. You get:

The texts are about your bookings only. There is no marketing.

How you opt in

You opt in yourself, next to the sentence "Text me visit reminders and updates from [business name].", in one of three places: the texts switch next to your mobile number in your profile (in the app or on the website), the consent box on the sign-up page when you create your account, or the consent box on a private opt-in link your pet care business sends you. Your business cannot turn texts on for you.

The consent is always shown with: "Msg freq varies. Msg and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop, HELP for help."

Consent to texts is not a condition of any purchase. You can book and pay without them.

How often

Message frequency varies with your bookings (usually a few texts per booking).

Cost

Message and data rates may apply. They are charged by your mobile carrier under your plan.

Stopping, starting and help

Replies to these numbers are not read. If you reply with anything else, you get one automatic answer a day telling you how to reach your pet care business.

For help with texts, contact your pet care business, or email BarkLedger support at [email protected].

Carriers

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Texts are sent to US mobile numbers only. Supported carriers are all major US carriers.

Privacy

Mobile numbers and text opt-in consent are never shared with or sold to third parties for marketing. How we handle them is in our privacy policy.
